Learn MoreDo I need a referral?
You don't need a referral to see the dietitian and claim a refund from your Health Fund. However, a referral from your Dr can provide valuable and relevant information for the dietitian.
Veterans Affairs patients and those on EPC plans do require a referral.
How much does it cost?
Costs for dietetic consultations are covered under “extras” in your private health fund.
Refunds vary between funds and are usually higher for the initial dietetic consultation.
Fees are payable at the time of consultation and cash, cheque, EFTPOS, Visa and Mastercard are accepted.
How do I book?
If you would like to make an appointment for an individual consultation with the dietitian, call the nearest clinic and they will organize an appointment time for you.
